You can also access our employee assistance program providers Vitae or EAP Services.

Both are independent counselling services that can help you with personal and work stress, relationship problems, conflict situations, anxiety, depression, grief or loss, violence, harassment, personal trauma, addictions, financial wellbeing advice, nutrition and legal issues.

It is available to all our staff and their whānau members (the staff member has to initiate the contact on the family members behalf).

If it’s your first-time using EAP Services and Vitae, and you want to make sure that the professional you speak with has the specialist knowledge you need, we recommend booking by phone.  Sessions can be face to face, over the phone or online.

Every staff member is eligible for three free one-hour sessions, then the counsellor can recommend additional sessions if needed. The service is completely confidential.  Unitec is not provided with names from the providers, only case numbers and the number of sessions used.
