Vote for Finn, the cuddly office dog!

Finn, the 11-month-old Whippet you may have seen trotting around the Mt Albert campus with owner Lauren Prior, School of Environmental and Animal Sciences Lecturer, has been selected as a finalist for the New Zealand Top Office Dog – People’s Choice Award!

Finn is a regular fixture in the School of Environmental and Animal Sciences, both in Lauren’s office and in her Applied Animal Health lectures where he serves as a real-life model for classes on anatomy and physiology, animal welfare and husbandry.

Finn is a retired show dog, originally from Hamilton, who has been with Lauren for four months.

She says he’s cuddly and cheeky in equal measure; loves furniture, liver treats and runs on Bethell’s Beach. He’s also a great source of stress relief and along with the other EAS dogs – Bea (a Golden Retriever belonging to Peggy Link, EAS Lecturer), Min (a Staffy cross belonging to Laura Harvey, EAS Lecturer) and Georgia (a Huntaway – Heading Dog cross belonging to Kristina Naden, EAS
Lecturer) — is a much-loved member of the team.
