Our Manaaki Scholars attended the inaugural TupuToa Leadership Summit held in Auckland this week.

Our scholars come from a range of different Pacific countries, and have received MFAT-sponsored scholarships to study at Unitec.

The event brought together Māori and Pacific Leaders from across Aotearoa to discuss key topics in leadership and provide opportunities for attendees to network and grow their leadership capabilities.

Scholar Emmanuel Simon, who is from Papua New Guinea and is studying a Bachelor of Engineering said, “It was an honour and privilege to attend this leadership summit for 2024 based on: “Growing Māori and Pacific Leaders for Greater Aotearoa and Pacific.” Such a wonderful experience.”
