Our multi-talented Academic Advisors work alongside academic and also support staff and teams in a variety of ways such as learning design and lesson planning, programme design, assessment, how to rethink learning for flexible/blended modes, how to use group work, and much more. We play a key role in supporting teachers in building their competencies through the Teaching Capability Development (TCD) programme. This may be in the form of individual guidance, advice to Academic Programme Managers (APMs) on School or programme professional development, workshops, or advice on submitting evidence for a digital credential (badge). Each School has a Liaison Adviser.
Many of the TPA team have the knowledge and skills to provide not only general advice and support, but also expertise in digital learning. Our team focuses on assisting teachers develop competency in four areas:

- Facilitation: including all aspects of digital learning.
- Assessment: Formative, summative, self and peer.
- Evaluation: Effectiveness of design, facilitation and assessment.
The team is also trained in administering Small Group Instructional Diagnosis (SGID) sessions as an alternative way to obtain feedback/evaluation from learners.
