Programme Suspension or Withdrawal

Why we do it?

Suspending or withdrawing a Programme, Short Course or Training Scheme may be required due to changes in the education landscape. This may include the need to replace it with a new programme, or to close it as there is no longer a recognised market for it. Programme closure may be informed by stakeholder feedback, governmental directions and self-evaluation.

What it involves?

Closing a programme, short course or training scheme may be temporary or permanent and involves working directly with internal and external stakeholders to confirm the need and the process for the closure. Affected students are at the core of all consideration that will be made about closing a programme.

All programme closure requires approval in principle from ELT, which includes a business case.

If you are considering closing a Programme, Short Course or Training Scheme, come talk with us.
