Within Te Korowai Kahurangi we have teams focusing on different aspects of academic quality processes.

Quality Systems

• oversees the collation, analysis and reporting of data for institutional self-assessment, resourcing surveys and dashboards
• empowers self-evaluative process and education in quality processes
• supports Academic Committee, Academic Approvals Committee, Quality Alignment Board and Ako Ahimura
• manages the appeals process
• ensures Unitec policies, procedures and regulations are fit for purpose

Programme Development and Management

• supports the development of new, and the improvement of, existing programmes
• collates programme documents for NZQA and prepares programme teams for panel interviews

Quality Partnering

The Quality Partnering team are based mainly in Schools to support you with the necessary understanding of all quality processes, including moderation, evaluation, and monitoring. The team also assists you with Grade Approvals and Programme completions.
The team partners with Heads, Academic Programme Managers, and Lecturers.

Senior Quality Administrators work primarily within schools as the key point of contact for Academic Quality related matters, including:

• meeting all quality requirements
• making sure that records and documentation are accurate, up to date, and compliant
• supporting Programme Academic Quality Committees (PAQCs) in their work
• oversees Consistency Reviews
• analyses Degree monitor’s reports and communicates the results for action.

Quality Administrators provide additional support to Team Leaders and Senior Quality Administrators across a number of different administrative systems.
