The following updates 2021 approval deadlines for Programme Development and Improvement submissions. Strict adherence to submission dates is required to meet NZQA deadlines. The link is: 2021 Programme Development Approval dates
NB: We must ensure that the processes leading up to the submission date are completed prior to the Academic Approvals Committee deadline. This means, all applications must:

- Be pre-approved by the Portfolio Leadership Group (PLG) (not required for Type 1 changes); and
- Include:
- a change application form
- an updated tracked changes programme document
- a PID (Programme Information Details) spreadsheet
- Be supported by evidence of PAQC endorsement

3. Mea Hei Kōrero | Items To Discuss
3.1 Student Evaluation of Courses
That the Committee discusses how the themes & action plans based on feedback from student course evaluations will be:
- Employed into teaching and programme improvement; and
- Feedback to student to close the communication/evaluation loop

3.2. Student Issues
Plagiarism – recurring problem
- Student’s Response to APM’s emails – most admitted plagiarism charges but said they wouldn’t mind losing marks for those particular assessments
- Repeat Offenders – what category of Academic Misconduct should that come under?
- Does the school need to maintain a student disciplinary register?
APM for Degree and post-degree programmes to speak
- Extension of S 2 2020 HTCS6707-SB
The committee notes that the end date of the course has been revised to 14 February 2021
- The current cohort will continue over summer to work with industry and compensate for the hours wasted in lockdown. This is in compliance with the requirements that overall students have 96 face-to-face contact hours.
Extension does not apply to S2 2020 – HTCS6707-SA cohort
3.3. Degree Monitoring
- BCS and GDCMP had online monitoring on 22 September 2020. Reports just received.
- MCOMP & PGDCG Monitoring completed on 2 Nov 2020
