What we do – Our key responsibilities
- Manage Unitec’s library and learning commons spaces – physical and virtual
- Play a lead role in staffing and managing the Mt Albert Hub Commons
- Provide library and information services, as well as student study spaces and facilities, eg group study rooms, computers etc.
- Enable access to scholarly information resources, including print books and other physical items, electronic books/journals and subscription databases – see more about our collection
- Ensure compliance with Database licenses including copyright
- Lead information literacy training & development
- Manage Unitec’s research on the open research repository Research Bank
- Liaise with academic staff to ensure required resources are available for all programmes, and prepare resource statements for proposed programmes.
Our people
The Library Manager leads a dedicated group of librarians with excellent professional, academic and often technical skills, and wide-ranging experience relevant to the Unitec environment.
