Te Wiki o Te Reo Māori in Waitākere

Te Wiki o Te Reo Māori was alive and well over at our Waitākere campus with kaimahi and ākonga coming together for activities that ran on Level 2, Building 500 on Wednesday and Thursday this week.

On Wednesday (Rāapa) in Te Kākano, participants got to learn some reo and try some kai at Kīwaha & Kai: Say a Te Reo Māori Phrase and Have a Treat.

On Thursday (Rāpare) in Te Ipukura, the space was activated by song and dance with Karakia & Waiata, Poi & Badge Making, Kai, a Tititorea activity and some delicious kai Hākari for lunch.

The two days of activities proudly demonstrated our commitment to the 50th Anniversary theme of Ake Ake Ake – A Forever Language through learning, teaching and practice.
