Te Pūkenga – share your voice through the ‘Our Journey’ platform: next phase

Note, updates from Te Pūkenga are all shared on our Te Pūkenga Nest page

Please see below message from Merran Davis, DCE Transformation & Transition at Te Pūkenga. This is the second invitation to be part of ‘Our Journey’, an online space where you can share your thoughts on the direction of vocational learning.

We’re continuing to listen! Please help us shape the future of vocational learning in Aotearoa

The exciting journey to transform vocational learning in Aotearoa is entering the next phase of feedback and collaboration.

In early March, many New Zealanders provided insightful feedback on mahi done at that time to develop the Te Pukenga operating model  – this video explains what we’re doing.

We heard from many diverse voices from all parts of the country and in different industries. Thank you so much for the thoughts and feedback you’ve contributed to the process so far.

Since then, our project team has collated and organised everyone’s valuable contributions and used them to progress our thinking around Te Pukenga and the operating model for vocational learning in the future.

We invite you to share your thoughts

The project team has been working to create a range of ideas related to the services and functions that ākonga/learners and employers will need when engaged in vocational learning in Aotearoa in the future.

We’ve now posted descriptions of these ideas on the Our Journey online space. Each unique description is part of proposed high-level approaches to achieve the outcomes identified in our Charter.

We’re now asking you to share your feedback on this mahi with us! Simply log in to the Our Journey online space (or if this is your first time, please sign up) at https://tepukenga.citizenlab.co. You will be able to view the service descriptions, comment, and engage in discussion with other contributors between now and Friday 23 April.

We want to continue to hear from as many diverse voices as possible. Feedback from many diverse voices will help us refine what Te Pūkenga does, how and where. It will also ensure that Te Pūkenga serves all people in Aotearoa equally and furthers our commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi.

We look forward to hearing your voice to continue during this next phase of our mahi,

Merran Davis

I strongly feel that more information needs to be tricked down to staff. I don’t see much talking on this in normal meetings.
