Our International Success Strategy provides a framework to give effect to our International student voice and journey. The strategy gives effect to our students’ health & well-being, present and future goals and recognises the contribution our students bring to our communities and the diversity and cultural tolerance this creates.
The strategic actions are focused on ensuring a positive living experience in New Zealand and a positive learning experience at Unitec. A positive living and learning experience should support successful educational outcomes.
Our vision
That every international student has a positive living and learning experience at Unitec which is shared with their family and friends and they are empowered to change their own futures.
Fundamental to this strategy are four priorities that aim:
To ensure students feel supported and valued – Manaaki (care for) our students
To ensure students expectations of future success are delivered by the institute – Whakaae (realise) our students’ goals
To ensure staff are qualified, capable and culturally engaged – Tautoko (support) our staff to engage
To promote institutional internationalisation – Awhi (embrace) our students culturally
