Upload your ‘My Vaccine Pass’ in preparation for 2022

In preparation for 2022, we are encouraging all staff and contractors at Unitec to upload their proof of vaccination. Get it sorted now so you can relax over the holiday break!

It is likely that Auckland will still be under CPF Red in the New Year so anyone accessing campus will need to show proof of vaccine. We are still working through the details of who will be given access to campus, but we expect that when we open after the holiday break we’ll be operating in the same way we currently operate – so access will only be given for essential work and teaching.

How to show proof of vaccine

Once you have received your first and second dose, please request official proof of your Covid-19 vaccination, through the ‘My Covid Record’ site:

To submit your vaccination information or medical exemption to Unitec

Please submit your official confirmation of vaccination status once you have received both doses.

  • Have your staff ID plus the dates and type of vaccine you’ve received on hand
  • You’ll probably need to rename your ‘My Vaccine Pass’ letter with a shorter title before uploading it: maximum of 68 characters.

Vaccination information will be stored securely in Unitec’s Staff Vaccination Register.

Medical exemptions

If you have any questions on exemptions and exceptions from vaccination, you can find information here, and we recommend you contact your medical doctor or nurse to discuss further.

Accessing campus in 2021 is still for essential reasons only

Please note that all staff should still be working from home, except a small number of approved people who are required to be on campus. Should you need to come onto campus this year, please discuss this with your line manager. If this is required, any requests need to be made here. You’ll need to complete a Health and Safety induction and your vaccination status will be required to be confirmed, before you can come onto campus.

It’s likely this will also apply when we open on 10 January 2022 – more info to come on this.

If you are feeling unsure or anxious about anything in this email, please reach out to your manager, or access the support available to you.
