Update on Paid Parking and Visitor Carpark Booking System for 2025

As we progress through the semester, we are providing an important update regarding paid parking for 2025 and the upcoming launch of the visitor carpark booking system.

Paid Parking Timing & Clarification

We recognise the challenges in accommodating various payment preferences, and we’ve made necessary adjustments to ensure a smooth process. To clarify:

  • Paid parking is enforced from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday to Friday, in alignment with the academic calendar.
  • Paying before the end of the day refers to payment before 4:00 PM.
  • Parking machines and the app will activate at 8:00 AM and deactivate at 4:00 PM.
  • We strongly encourage paying upon arrival.
  • If you pay later in the day before 4:00 PM, ensure you cover the full amount for your parked time, which may include selecting the maximum daily amount capped at $3.
  • Failure to pay the correct amount may result in infringement action.

Parking Availability

Familiarise yourself with all parking zones on campus. Areas such as the parking near the old gym and the free parking at Gate 3 are underutilised. If you’re having trouble finding parking, these spaces are available and have not reached capacity.

New Visitor Carpark Booking System – Launching April 1st

Starting April 1st, all visitor carpark bookings at the front of Building 111 will be managed exclusively through your local school/business administrator or coordinator.

  • Approximately 30 staff across both campuses are now responsible for managing bookings for the 9 visitor carparks. The new system is proving to be efficient, and we’ve received positive feedback.
  • Access and support are in place to ensure a smooth transition.
  • The current Outlook calendar booking system will be decommissioned on March 31st, and any bookings made after this date will be cancelled. Please reach out to your local school/business administrator or coordinator to rebook any visitors.

Thank you for your cooperation as we implement these improvements.
