16 April, 2025
Kia ora koutou,
Hope you’re all having a good day.
We are advising Unitec kaimahi to work from home where possible tomorrow (17 April) due to the strong wind warning and heavy rain watch in place for the region from 9pm this evening until midnight tomorrow.
You can read more information from MetService here.
While – at this stage – it looks unlikely that the warning will be upgraded and our campuses will still open tomorrow; we are issuing this guidance to allow kaimahi to plan ahead, avoid difficult driving conditions and increased traffic on the roads due to the upcoming Easter weekend.
If you are delivering to learners on campus tomorrow, and are able to reschedule or shift to online delivery, feel free to do so but please ensure that you communicate this to your learners today.
We will continue to monitor this situation and provide updates if required.
Wishing everyone a happy and safe holiday break.
Ngā mihi,
Peseta Sam
