You’re welcome to register for this opportunity to develop your knowledge base around Te Reo Māori and the many aspects associated with Māori protocols and customs.
These classes are available for all learners at any level.

Please note that by registering you are agreeing to take part in the full 10-week course.
You will learn:
- The foundation of Te Reo and a focus on pronunciation and simple phrases.
- How to develop a basic mihimihi (acknowledgements) structure.
- Basic sentence structures and the addition of whakataukī (proverbs) and kīwaha (colloquial sayings).
Tama Pene will facilitate the classes. Nō Waikato-Tainui, otirā nō Hauā-Werewere. Tama has a background teaching Te Reo at Unitec Kura Pō (night classes) for seven years and has recently stepped into the Kura Pō Co-ordinator role.
