At the end of August, we farewelled Tracy Chapman, previously Director International Success, who has taken on an exciting role at Te Wānanga o Aotearoa as Head of Student Experience which includes Recruitment, Applications, Enrolments, Registry, Conversions and Student Support.
This presented an opportunity for us as an organisation to formally incorporate the scope of the leadership role into the wider Student Success management team which is where a range of International student services already sit. This reflects our post-Academic Target Operating Model (ATOM) environment from November 2018 to date, where we recognised the need to reset how we serve our International students, communities and stakeholders more effectively.
The responsibility for International students being supported and successful is now led by Annette Pitovao, Director Student Success. The Code of Practice (Pastoral Care) for International Students is now managed by Michelle Smith, Manager International Business Support, and actively supported by Tahreem Zia, Team Leader International Business Support. Our International Student Support team are here to help. Annette will be meeting with all International Success Champions in the coming weeks.
