Christmas shutdown period
This year our three week closedown period will be:
- Last day of work: Friday 16 December 2022
- Unitec opens again: Monday 09 January 2023
As with recent years, these dates will apply to all staff unless there is an essential business reason for you to be working. The three-week shutdown allows you to have sufficient rest and relaxation after another busy year. This closedown period will utilise 11 annual leave days for permanent full time staff.
If you want to discuss your leave plans, please liaise with your manager in the first instance.
To predict what your leave balance will be at the end of the year, so you can plan your leave, use the ‘leave balance’ tool in Peoplesoft. Click on ‘forecast balance’ at the bottom of the leave table.
Updating your personal details in our system
Please take some time to check and update your contact details and those of your next of kin in the PeopleSoft system. It’s important that these are correct, for us to use in emergency situations.
