From Stephen Town: Thanks for sharing your voice

Tēnā koe i ōu whakaaro

Last week the engagement activity on Te Pūkenga proposed Operating Model closed. This engagement activity is an important part of the conversations we need to have which will lead to formal consultation on the detailed Operating Model in the first half of 2022.

A huge thank you to everyone who got involved over the three weeks of engagement, even during these challenging times. People from across the network engaged with the proposed Operating Model in many ways – from attending presentations and workshops to sending in feedback by email or through our engagement platform.

This mahi belongs to all of us and is reflected by the hundreds of comments and pieces of feedback received over the last three weeks. Your ongoing contribution is important as together we reimagine and build a world-class vocational and on-the-job learning system for Aotearoa New Zealand. Therefore, we will continue to capture feedback through email to yourvoice@tepukenga.ac.nz as we work toward the next phase of engagement on Governance structures and regions.

Hearing all our voices across the network ensures the knowledge and experience of learners and people informs how we get things right.

All feedback is being analysed to understand what you’ve told us about the proposed Operating Model so far, and how we can use this to improve. This detail will be shared with Te Pūkenga Council later this month and will inform the Operating Model that we share with the Minister of Education in December.

We will also share general themes from your feedback with the network by the end of November.

Thank you again to everyone who has contributed to this important mahi.
