Christchurch Attack – 2 years Commemoration

The multi faith chaplaincy is holding a commemorative service on Monday, in commemoration of 2 years since the Christchurch attacks.

We will gather around the Olive Tree planted by the Unitec Community as a symbol of peace and remembrance soon after the attack on two Christchurch mosques in 2019.

Join us in the Unitec Memorial Grove (across Farm Rd from the Marae) ready to begin at 10.10am on Monday 15 March. We will remember those most affected by this event, their family, and their Muslim community. We will think about our own freedoms and safety, and about religious diversity at Unitec.

There will be two minutes of silence, some prayers, a reading from the Q’uran, and a time to connect with each other.

Co-ordinated by the Unitec Multifaith Chaplaincy and the Unitec Muslims Club.
