Changes to inwards goods: Deliveries and vehicles

Due to internal restructure, our Inwards Goods team is smaller now, and some processes have changed. Please check below for changes that take effect from Monday 24 April.

Deliveries
OfficeMax deliveries:

 

  1. Ordering person must put in their contact details on the PO: Name, Location, phone number.
  2. If couriers can’t go to individual location, they will deliver to B107 as transit point, they then contact the purchaser by phone/email to say parcel is here.
  3. Health Centre deliveries go directly to them.
  4. Environmental & Animal Sciences (EAS) Mt Albert deliveries go to Security B112-1001 to be kept in cold storage in the interim.
    Waitakere EAS deliveries will go to Security at Waitakere, B510-1015.
  5. Waitakere campus deliveries are to go direct to Waitakere, buyers are currently updating their locations.

 

Paper deliveries Same ordering process, staff will now need to collect from B107 store
Library Bin transfers For library internal transfers between Mt Albert and Waitakere, the Security front office is the new transit point.

All external library deliveries for Mt Albert go to B107, external Waitākere deliveries will go direct from supplier.

Tea / coffee / sugar supplies Please log a job on FM Helpdesk and supplies will be prepared for staff to collect from B107.

B112 staff kitchen users will need to work together and a arrange roster system to collect supplies from B107.

Milk deliveries Will continue as usual at both campuses.
Personal deliveries Unitec can no longer take receipt of personal courier deliveries.
Used toners Can be returned to Copy Centre, who will then bag up for collection from contractors.
Unitec fleet vehicles, shuttles and e-bikes:
Unitec vehicle bookings: Picking up and dropping off keys have changed.

Confirmation of vehicle booking will now contain instructions on how and where to pick up keys.

Please read this information carefully.  Staff are reminded to book at least 24 hours in advance and return vehicles, clean & full of fuel.

Covid-related supplies Hand sanitiser is available for collection from B107. When supply is exhausted both hand sanitiser and face masks can be ordered by each school/department through OfficeMax.

 

Booking of buses/coaches Is handed back to Schools/Depts to manage as needed.
Campus shuttle Timetable and changes are published on The Nest Te Aka. Please contact fmgeneral@unitec.ac.nz with any queries
E-bikes All E-bike queries to Sustainability Manager.
Forkilift / Heavy Lifting / Hazardous Goods All forklift / heavy lifting / hazardous goods transportation will be managed by Infrastructure Operations on a needs basis.
