Ordering / Getting a Bin Collected

Confidential destruction bins are provided to Unitec by TIMG. Nothing should be placed into these bins without first reading the Disposing of Records at Unitec Procedure. These are the only confidential destruction bins that Unitec should be using.

If you want to order a confidential destruction bin or have a bin that is full collected, you need to log a job with Facilities Management using the FM HELP icon available through the Quick Link Toolbar in the top left corner of this page.

Once you’ve opened FM HELP, enter the Building and Room number you want the bin delivered to / picked up from and under the Category section choose:

Cleaning Waste; and then Waste – security disposal

Bin Collection Charges

There is no charge for the delivery of a bin, but once the bin is collected your department will be charged a per bin collection fee of $17.59 + GST. This fee is handled on your department’s behalf by Facilities Management who will recover the fee from your department at a later date via Unitec’s internal accounting processes.

If you are not a budget owner please check with your department’s relevant budget owner before ordering a bin.
