Information and Policy Services provides assistance and advice to all staff on information management issues, including providing best practice procedures, tools, resources and training for creating, receiving, storing, maintaining, using and disposing of records and other Unitec information.

Unitec is a diverse organisation which creates, receives and uses information in a wide variety of formats. Any information created, received or used by a staff member in the course of carrying out their responsibilities, becomes a ‘Unitec record.’

 

Providing guidance to Unitec policy and procedure writers

Information and Policy Services carries out a quality management role in ensuring that all Unitec policies and other closely related documents are presented in an appropriate format and contain content relevant to their purpose and their intended audience.

The Unitec’s Policy Framework was created by Information and Policy Services as a first step in providing guidance to any staff member about how to write or update a policy or procedure type document for Unitec, and of course we are always available to answer any questions you may have about policy writing or anything else covered within the Unitec Policy Framework.
