Upcoming power outage at Waitākere Campus
Mandatory electrical compliance work to recalibrate Current Transformers (CTs) at Building 510 (Waitākere), required under Electricity Authority regulations.
When: Wednesday, 15 April 2026, between 3:00pm and 5:30pm.
Impact: A temporary power outage will occur during this window while testing is undertaken. Work is scheduled after teaching hours to minimise disruption.
Monday @ 8AM – 30/3/26: FM NETWORKS ARE CLEAR
Friday 20th February, 2026 B110 to B180 bridge carpet replacement.
Work will take approximately 2 hours, starting at 8.00am and expected to be finished by 10:00am.

We have some remedial work being carried out in B180 which involves scaffolding. There will be minimal disruptions and the contractor undertaking this work is experienced in risk and business disruption. Please contact fmgeneral@unitec.ac.nz if you have any concerns, rather than the contractor directly.
Friday 23rd January, 2026 BUILDING WASHING
Please be aware, building washing is underway around the campus over the next 2-3 weeks. We have NZ Facilities undertaking this work and they are experienced in risk and business disruption. Please contact fmgeneral@unitec.ac.nz if you have any concerns, rather than the contractor directly.
Due to inclement weather, they may move from building to building with limited notice as they attempt to get the work done around the presenting conditions.
