Fight discrimination with perspiration
Between sitting behind a desk all day and getting stuck in commuter traffic it can be hard for us to find time to get moving! This June, bring your team together, get up from your desk and sweat for at least 21 minutes a day (the minimum amount of activity we need for happy and healthy bodies and mind). At the same time you’re getting active you can also raise money to fund projects that provide essential physical, mental and sexual health services for Rainbow New Zealanders.
Here’s how you can get involved:
- If you’d like to track your exercise and raise money through sponsors, sign up for your own individual Sweat with Pride and/ join a team Unitec Ally Network workplace. You can also make a one off donation.
AND
- Organise your own Unitec Sweat with Pride session. Suggestions below:
Lunchtime walking group: grab your teammates for a 21-minute local walk in the lovely Unitec grounds.
Walking meetings: do your own thing with your team – try a walking meeting outside.
Get sweating, and make sure you have lots of fun!! Any questions, please get in touch with Maree (mlightfoot@unitec.ac.nz).
