Remote Apps allows access to the H: drive from outside of Unitec’s network.
At 10 pm Thursday 10th August, the Remote Apps system https://remoteapps.unitec.ac.nz is being updated. You will need to follow the instructions listed below to login.
Just like when you access Microsoft 365 services (e.g. Outlook or SharePoint), from 10 pm Thursday 10th August you will be prompted for 2-factor authentication (with a TXT or using the Authenticator App).
Remote Apps can be accessed using an internet browser e.g., Edge or Chrome using this URL https://remoteapps.unitec.ac.nz . The web client allows editing of existing files and the creation of new files on the H: drive.
If you want to upload files from your local computer, then you will need to install the Remote Desktop App.
