The New Zealand Police are back at Unitec! The Police CIB training team are running their Detective Development course from our Mt Albert campus for the next four weeks .
Around 25 police officers are now on site, joined by their tutors and guest speakers. Most of the training will be held in building 182, with practical assessments taking place all around the campus. You might come across groups of police practicing scene examinations, huddled around items of evidence or poring over mannequins. The area will be cordoned off with police signage, but you’re welcome to hang around and watch how they work.
This is the second time that the CIB course has been run here and the training team is now aiming to run two four-week courses at our campus each year.
