Open Day attracts huge interest

Staff and volunteers were kept busy at our annual Open Day with more than a thousand visitors and prospective students coming through the doors at our Mt Albert and Waitākere campuses.

Te Puna was a hub of activity at Mt Albert with all our pathways offering hands-on programme displays, activities, exhibitions, tours and trial lectures.

The enthusiasm of staff and their passion for learning was palpable as they demonstrated their offerings: Creative Industries hosted mask workshops; Environmental and Animal Sciences staged “A guess what this is” with a trichobezoar; while CIE encouraged Mataaho visitors to try their hand at virtual welding and automotive electronics.

Visitors to Waitākere were given a first-hand view of our medical imaging, nursing and community development programmes.

Marketing is now working on following up with all prospects.
