Earlier this year there were a few stories in the media about the growing business of ‘professional’ dog walking, the safety of the walkers and the public, and issues with pet behaviour at doggie daycare. As the only institution that offers an NZQA accredited Companion Animal Management – Canine Behaviour and Training certification, the NZ Herald came to Mt Albert campus to find out what’s involved in teaching hands-on behaviour skills, why our course is growing in popularity and what opportunities it provides our students.

Watch the video in the NZ Herald post where they interviewed Environmental and Animal Science lecturers Kristie Cameron, Jo Thorne and Melika Barnes, and our students, who they captured in action with their pets.
