Get connected and involved
The new Wellbeing programme is up and running with a great range of opportunities for you to get away from your desk, get connected and involved, and to take care of yourself!
This new programme focuses on a ‘well you’ and captures the key actions from the Mental Health Foundation’s ‘five ways to wellbeing‘ framework: Connect, give, take notice, keep learning and be active.
Alongside Friday Futsal, or the opportunity to experience Mindfulness, you can give Boxing a go, try out Tai Chi, work out your cardio and muscles with Circuit Training, or chill with a massage session. And there’s more – all events are listed in the Nest what’s on calendar or you can also download a listing of the July programme.
If you have any questions about these programmes that aren’t covered in the Nest event listing, contact connect@unitec.ac.nz. If you’d like more information on how our Wellbeing programme was shaped, the content or timeframes, go to our Nest post – Shaping our Wellness programme survey – what you told us.
New initiatives for our August programme will be posted on the Nest later this month.
Are more massage sessions planned, as these are already full?
Hi Laura,
Yes we will be running more in September, as well as sessions in Waitakere in August.
Cheers,
Erin
