New-to-Unitec student survey says we’re ‘on track’

Our new students who joined us at the beginning of the year were asked to complete a survey in April which asked them how their first six weeks with us went. This included questions about their ‘welcome’ experience and their decision to study with us.

The survey results are really positive and a testament to everyone involved in ensuring our new students felt welcomed and confident that they had made the right study decision. The beginning of the new year and semester is a busy time so everyone’s hard work and focus has really contributed to this.

Over a third of our new-to-Unitec students responded and the vast majority reported feeling well supported and positive about their decision to study at Unitec. Even better, satisfaction with our overall enrolment processes was high (from those applicants who ended up here).

The survey collected a range of data covering student sentiment and support, the enrolment process, orientation (attendance and impact), the drivers of decision to study at Unitec and access to technology.

The survey results  provide a breakdown based on gender, age, ethnicity and pathways, as well as domestic and international students.

If you have any questions about the survey, contact Business Intelligence, Insights Business Partners, Mel Miller – xtn 8714 or Bob Stewardson – xtn 7405.

Our new students are welcomed to Unitec with a powhiri
