Each year Tūāpapa Rangahau provides scholarships to students across Unitec’s Master’s programmes, supporting Unitec students to succeed.
Programme scholarships
These scholarships are available to support talented students enrolled or intending to enroll in one of the following Master Programmes:
- Master of Applied Practice (Social Practice)
- Master of Architecture
- Master of Architecture (Professional)
- Master of Computing
- Master of Creative Practice
- Master of Landscape Architecture
Special scholarships
- Master Scholarships for Māori Students
- Master Scholarships for Pasifika Students
Eligibility criteria
- Enrolled or intending to enroll in a full-time or part-time Unitec Masters Programme
- Committed to completing a research thesis of at least 90 credits
- Minimum average grade – as given below – or equivalent in all previous study at Level 7 or above;
a. a minimum grade of B+ for Programme Base scholarships
b. a minimum grade of B for Māori and Pacific scholarships - Provisional grades can be used to calculate the GPA if necessary
- International students are eligible to apply if they meet all the above criteria
- Full-time Unitec staff are not eligible to apply
Numbers and value of the scholarships
The amount and number of these scholarships vary every year. Please refer to the Scholarships page on the Unitec website after applications open.
Timing
Applications for these scholarships open on 1 September 2021 and close on 31 January 2022.
