The 2022 Aotearoa Bike Challenge runs from February 1-28 and is a fun, free competition with loads of great prizes to win, $3000 worth of travel credit, turntables, pizza oven, e-bikes and Lululemon vouchers to name the few.

Team Unitec has had great success in the past –winning the Auckland Bike Challenge (in our business-size category) four times. It’s not about distance, it’s about giving it a go.
We would like to sign up Unitec again, but first we need to find ourselves a champion.
In 2021, Udara Wickramasinghe, Senior Administrator in our Enrolment Processing team led the charge, with support from our Wellbeing and Sustainability manager. Udara invited staff to be part of ‘Team Unitec’ and cheered the team on throughout the challenge.
And that’s all there is to it. Creating a list of events for the month, and then being there on the day to help people with their bikes. Maja Zidov, bike champion for previous years, will be with you every step of the way.
