There’s a new way to start the week at Unitec – and everyone is invited! Our Ngākau Māhaki wharenui is going to be open every Monday morning from 8.30-9am for staff to come together and share what’s on their minds. We’ll start and end with a karakia and there will be plenty of time for pānui with colleagues and the leadership team.
Matua Hare Paniora opened the first meeting yesterday by observing that the weekly gathering is a great example of living Te Noho Kotahitanga to support each other through the months ahead. Staff who attended were able to ask questions of ELT members or talk about their concerns and share their team’s priorities for the coming week. Many also took the opportunity to acknowledge the importance of the wharenui as a place to gather and draw strength.
A regular hui will also be held at Waitakere every second Tuesday morning, starting 9 July.
