Congratulations to Jill Hadfield, Associate Professor Language Studies, whose book Interaction Online was recently selected as a finalist for the British Council ELTons Awards in the Innovation in Teacher Resources category.  The awards are the most prestigious in the world for English Language Teaching, referred to as the ‘Oscars of ELT’.

There was stiff competition, with the Innovation in Teacher Resources category receiving the most submissions. Jill’s book, which she co-wrote with Lindsay Clandfield, was one of only six finalists.

The book explores ‘human to human’ online interaction, and is aimed at anyone wanting to incorporate online interaction in their language teaching.
