International team makes lunch for kids in need

The International team decided to focus their team-building day in June on helping out in the community. They chose to volunteer at Eat My Lunch, where they made lunches for kids.

Up at the crack of dawn, the team helped to make 2,500 school lunches for students in 84 Auckland schools.

Josephine Kinsella, General Manager International, said it was an amazing cause and many of the team are considering helping out again. There is always space for individuals or teams to volunteer.

Eat My Lunch was set up in 2016, and works on the system of ‘buy one, give one’, meaning that each time someone orders a lunch online, another lunch is made and delivered to a kiwi kid who would otherwise go without. So far, Eat My Lunch has given over 850,000 lunches to kiwi kids, in Auckland, Hamilton and Wellington.
