Meet Albert Beeming, who joins Unitec as our new security manager and is looking forward to getting to know new people and his team
What is your role and what are some of the things that you enjoyed doing this year?
I’m the new Security Manager and I’m enjoying learning the new processes and meeting new people. It’s been great to get to know my new team at Unitec.
What do you enjoy doing when you’re not at work?
I enjoy spending time with family and relaxing at home watching movies, documentaries, etc.
Where did you grow up and what’s interesting about that place?
I grew up in Cape Town, South Africa. It’s a beautiful city and has Table Mountain behind it which is considered one of the seven wonders of the world.

Do you speak any other languages, what is special about that for you?
Yes, Afrikaans is my second language. Its always special to able to speak another language I think.
What is you favourite book or movie? Why?
The Bible – It’s just a good guide to live by I think
Kids/pets/partner you want to brag about?
My grandchildren bring me lots of joy and put a smile on my farce daily
What’s your favourite food or signature dish?
I enjoy fried chicken and potato bake
Who do you most admire and what is it about them that makes them special?
Jesus Christ – he made the ultimate sacrifice in my opinion if you believe that
