Unitec School of Creative Industries’ Year 3 Bachelor of Performing and Screen Arts – Acting ākonga (students) invite you to their devised play, Monsters Made by Monsters, showing at Pitt Street Theatre (78 Pitt St, Auckland Central) from Thursday 26 – 29 June.
Directed by Leo Gene Peters – this thrilling production dives into the strange, the nostalgic, and the supernatural.
The story:
Auckland, 2025. A group of friends unearth a box of forgotten VHS tapes and discover The Monsters Made By Monsters Show—a mysterious ’90s cult series that begins to bleed into real life. Soon, they’re fighting monsters in the heart of Queen Street.
Think: Buffy meets Twin Peaks with a dash of Are You Afraid of the Dark.
This fast-paced, devised thriller offers a bold showcase of our students’ creativity and collaboration.
