The Electrical Workers Registration Board (EWRB) recently announced that it has invited Electrical Engineering lecturer, Ashley Yan, to join the Board.
The EWRB ‘promotes safety for all New Zealanders by ensuring the competence of electrical workers’. It has a leading role in the electrical sector to deliver occupational regulatory good practice.
Head of Engineering and Applied Technology, Nick Sheppard said Ashley is a rising star of our engineering team, is a wonderful lecturer and member of our wider team.
“We’re very proud that Ashley’s been selected as an EWRB board member. This is great recognition of her expertise and reputation in the electrical industry, and provides us with a voice at the highest level.”
The Board consists of seven members from around New Zealand, representing both trade and the public. The Board discusses licensing matters, compliance, strategic planning and policy matters, and deals with complaints and disciplinary matters.
