Council Organisations work with Unitec Architecture Students to Regenerate Henderson Land

Representatives from Council organisations, Panuku Development Auckland and Auckland Tourism, Events and Economic Development (ATEED) were at Unitec last week to view the designs created by our third year Architecture students for the ‘Unlocking Henderson’ initiative.

Panuku Development Auckland has partnered with our School of Architecture to re-design two Henderson sites identified for future residential development, as part of plans to revitalise sites along Henderson Valley Road. Panuku selected eight student designs for exhibiting

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

at its Eco Centre Speaker Series: Embracing Change event which was held last week at Whoa Studios.

In addition, Unitec is currently in discussion with Panuku to create a temporary pavilion for its site at 5 Trading Place in Henderson.  Pending approval, three third year students have also been selected to do a paid internships with Panuku Development next year.
