The ‘Connect’ idea was a partnership between the Computing and Business Practice pathways, Careers Department and the Industry team, and was set up to help equip students with their employability skills.

Heather Stonyer, General Manager, Industry, said that the Business and Computing Connect model is a powerful way to connect students with potential employers.

“It’s an invaluable way for our students to gain experience in networking and talking to potential employers, and for them to explore possible internship or employment opportunities”

“The students who participated in both sessions were very engaged and many were excited by the potential employment opportunities the forum presented,” said Heather.

The Business Connect event also included a “speed dating” component where students were given set time slots to talk with participating companies.
