Asbestos Awareness Week – event in Red Lecture Theatre

 

Come along to a forum focusing on asbestos – it’ll be helpful for builders, DIYers and anyone interested in the affects that asbestos can have on health. Discounted rates for Unitec staff and students, read on to learn more!

Hosted by Unitec, and created by the New Zealand Demolition and Asbestos Association (NZDAA), this half day forum will bring key sectors of the asbestos industry and other associated businesses together for collaboration, education, discussions and updates related to asbestos in the commercial sector.

This event is relevant for asbestos industry professionals, as well as business and building owners, property managers and facilities managers with a base level understanding of the regulations. It is also relevant for those who are interested in the latest asbestos research and would like to deepen their knowledge across the latest industry trends.

​The forum will consist of a series of short presentations around a range of asbestos topics designed to provide updates and encourage discussion. It is also an opportunity to ask questions from a range of industry subject matter experts, including members of Unitec’s Environmental Solutions Research Centre (ESRC).
