Student nurses excel at health checks

Unitec student nurses visited Rosebank Road Business District last week and over two days performed more than 110 health checks on local employees. Everyone benefited from the experience and we wanted to share the great feedback they got for their mahi.

  • Thank you once again to all the Unitec Student Nurses and their administrators for coming down and doing the health checks on our Rosebank employees.
  • They thought the students were all lovely and were very pleased to hear that their blood pressure and blood sugars were good.  Not so much their weight!!
  •  Everybody had nice things to say about the staff there. The student nurses were very friendly and helpful.
  •  They are also very thankful for being able to do a quick routine health check without having to go to a clinic.  Also, one of the members found out that he has high blood pressure, so this check-up brought the issue to his forefront and now he has taken the initiative to see his GP.
  •  Our staff members that went for the check-up were very grateful for the service.
  • Thank you for organising the event. The team said it was very informative and a gentle reality check to ensure they’re making the best decisions regarding their health. Most of the students were confident in what they were doing so it made them feel comfortable. The event was very interesting and educational as some of the team have never had their blood sugar levels taken which is a good first!
  •  I thought the nurses were all really great and well informed.
  • The students were very accommodating and friendly.
  • We can see their willingness to answer questions in regards with some health concerns.
  • They were nice and polite and we appreciate spending their time with us.

Well done to our student nurses and the wonderful kaimahi who support them.
