A big thank you to everyone who helped to make this week’s clothes swap such a huge success. It was definitely our biggest and best clothing swap so far, and it was great to see so many students and staff coming throughout the week to browse. We had a big kids’ section this time as well, and thank you to all the donors who contributed those as well—it’s lovely to think it will make lots of kids happy!
About 70% of items were swapped, and we plan to donate the rest to a range of charity shops and causes.
Lots of people have asked when the next one will be and at this stage we are planning for a Spring Clothes Swap in September, so please keep an eye out for the call for donations on the Nest and emails.
Once again, ngā mihi nui Unitec whānau- we couldn’t have done this without you and we hope you are enjoying your new clothing finds!

Great initiative. I managed to clear a few things from my wardrobe that will hopefully now be worn rather than left to collect dust, and picked up a few new things for the closet. Looking forward to the next one. Such a great way to help reduce waste!
