Have fun, try something new, achieve a fitness goal and get to know others at Unitec by joining in the Ports of Auckland Round the Bays.

New Zealand’s largest fun run lets you enjoy our city’s beautiful waterfront while experiencing the buzz of the 34,000+ crowd. Cross the finish line of the 8.4km course for a Pump water, shiny medal and huge feeling of satisfaction!
You are responsible for your registration fee but, as with last year, entering Round the Bays as part of Unitec’s Wellness Programme means you’ll enjoy some extra benefits:
- A commemorative t-shirt
- An after-event where you can join New Zealand’s largest BBQ and celebrate making it to the finish line. Family members are also welcome at the BBQ.

Use the above link to be automatically added to Team Unitec, or if you register at home from the ‘Round the Bays’ site, choose the ‘Join a team’ option when promped. Individual entry fee is $40, or $50 on event day. Family passes range from $115 to $135.

Where: Unitec Sports Grounds and the Wharekai
Please form teams of seven players (with as many subs as you like) and let Richard Boynton and Inger Andersen know by the end of next week who is in your team. Wear suitable clothing, bring some water, sun block and be ready for a fun day of team building!
AOTEAROA BIKE CHALLENGE 2021
Thinking about getting back on a bike? Looking for a New Year individual challenge? The annual Aotearoa Bike Challenge is now up and rolling!
The 2021 Aotearoa Bike Challenge runs from February 1-28 and is a fun, free competition with loads of great prizes to win.
The Bike Challenge is a great opportunity to discover some of the benefits of life on two wheels. See the city from a new perspective, improve your fitness, transform your work commute, and say goodbye to parking hassles!
Team Unitec has had great success in the past –winning the Auckland Bike Challenge (in our business-size category) three times. It’s not about distance, it’s about giving it a go.

HI Sarah, I am already registered for this year’s event but need to add Unitec as my team. How can I go about doing it? The links on The Nest are only for new people registering but I’ve already registered so can’t go through the process again.
