Terri-Ann Berry’s rescheduled ‘Brave the Shave’ campaign – this Thursday!

Dr Terri-Ann Berry, Associate Professor and Director of our Environmental Solutions Research Centre (ESRC), is taking part in Brave the Shave to raise money for better awareness and support for victims of malignant mesothelioma cancers, a type of respiratory cancer caused by exposure to asbestos. She will have her hair shaved by the Coast Breakfast team of Toni Street, Sam Wallace and Jason Reeves in the Coast studio on Thursday 3 September.

This was rescheduled due to the Alert Level 3 lockdown, so Terri-Ann is looking forward to finally lobbing off her locks!

Terri-Ann was interviewed as part of a Newshub article, and also spoke on Radio New Zealand, warning DIYers of the dangers of asbestos when renovating.

You are so brave Terri-Ann! Can’t tell how proud I am to be one of your students and a colleague now.
