Is your household experiencing financial hardship? Has your partner or a family member lost their job because of COVID-19 and do you wish to help them navigate all the WINZ terminology and processes, or perhaps access the foodbanks in your neighbourhood?
Our Wellbeing Champions have pulled together a team of staff at Unitec with prior experience of both of these systems, who can give a helping hand to their colleagues in need. This team is offering to:
- Be the first point of contact, hear your story and help access the eligibility criteria for both WINZ and foodbanks
- Join you or your family member to support to them at scheduled WINZ or foodbank meetings. It can be a nerve-wracking process and it can be helpful to have someone that can help with the discussions and paperwork.
