Welcoming our students – Nau mai, haere mai!

Orientation 2020

Orientation is designed to help prepare our students for study at Unitec, so please encourage attendance in any way you can, this is a priority and a great way for them to ‘hit the ground running’ on day one of semester 1!

Orientation opens with a pōhiri and campus tour then activities get underway at each School – for the full orientation
schedule, go to the
Unitec website – Orientation 2020 page.

International Orientation

International Orientation, also know as International Welcome Day, is an introduction to life at Unitec for our newly enrolled International students. It’s an opportunity to develop friendships, learn about life in Auckland and get the information they need to help them settle in to their study.

The programme starts this Wednesday with an official pōhiri to welcome them to New Zealand and Unitec, then there is an expo-style activity to help them with the enrolment process, and to get them connected with key resources and support services. Day two, on Friday, is made up of a series of workshops.

The International Welcome Days are compulsory for International students so please help however you can, to ensure our International students meet this formal requirement.

O-Week

O-Week, 24-28 February, is about all our students getting together once the semester is underway, and joining in a range of fun activities and events to help them ease into campus life and build new friendships.
