Steptember Challenge 2019 – our winning teams

Our top fundraising team, from left to right: Wilma Pinto, Anna Wheeler, Yvonne Sang, Helen Polley (who presented the prize on behalf of the Health and Safety team) Rolani Moasegi

Congratulations to everyone who took up the Steptember challenge of taking 10,000 or more steps every day in September.

Not only have our teams had a month of consciously thinking about moving more, but they’ve also raised funds for people with Cerebral Palsy, who often find movement challenging.

If you feel energised and vibrant after this month of Steptember, perhaps that’s a sign to keep the movement going!

Here are some statistics for Unitec’s participation in Steptember.

  • 38 teams
  • 140 Unitec people participating
  • $3,083.99 raised by Unitec teams to support people with Cerebral Palsy

A big pat on the back goes to our top-performing teams. They have won a $50 voucher to spend at Long Black cafe, so they can share a well-deserved celebration together.

Our top stepping team: Cath Delaporte, Trudy Vinkenvleugel, Rhys Davey, Inger Anderson, with Maja Zidov presenting their prize.
