Within Te Korowai Kahurangi | Academic Quality Office we have teams focusing on different aspects of academic quality processes.

Quality Systems

• supports MITU Academic Committees
• supports use of MIT&Unitec policies, procedures and regulations
• develops process and guidelines to support policy, procedure and regulations

• oversees the collation, analysis and reporting of data for institutional self-assessment, resourcing surveys and dashboards

Programme Development and Management

• supports the development of new, and the improvement of, existing programmes
• collates programme documents for NZQA and prepares programme teams for panel interviews
• manages the Programme Register Library

Quality Partnering

The Quality Partnering team are based mainly in Schools to support you with the necessary understanding of all quality processes, including moderation, evaluation, and monitoring. The team also assists you with Grade Approvals and Programme completions.
The team partners with Heads, Academic Programme Managers, and Lecturers.

Senior Quality Administrators work primarily within schools as the key point of contact for Academic Quality related matters, including:

• supporting Schools to meet key quality requirements
• making sure that records and documentation are accurate, up to date, and compliant
• supporting Programme Committees (PAQCs) in their work
• supporting key quality activates such as Degree Monitoring, Course Moderation, Academic Review, Programme Evaluation.

Quality Administrators provide additional support to Team Leaders and Senior Quality Administrators across a number of different administrative systems.
