The International Student Wellbeing Strategy 2019 project is underway at Unitec

Congratulations to the Unitec Te Puna Waiora ISWS Fund Steering Group, which has attracted $127,355 of funding from the Ministry of Education to deliver a project focused on improving information and resources around ‘Sexual health and safety resources for New Zealand international students’.

The project team are all from Student Success and include Monique Bell, Marion Blundell, Rowena Fuluifaga, Helena Finau and Melody Hao.

The Ministry’s International Student Wellbeing Strategy 2019 (ISWS) funding programme is designed to protect and enhance New Zealand’s reputation as a safe and welcoming study destination, aimed at providing resources to strengthen the wellbeing of international students in New Zealand.

How you can help

Our Unitec ISWS Project team will be recruiting international students for focus groups over the next few weeks to support their research. If you know of any students who can contribute to Hindi/Farsi/Mandarin focus groups, or if you have any question about this project, please contact ISWS Project Coordinator Melody Hao. The focus groups will run on 21 and 28 May.
